The basics

What does DropJobs do?

Warehouse jobs often open and fill within minutes. DropJobs watches the employers listed on the Warehouses page around the clock and messages you the moment a new opening appears inside the distance you chose. Alerts arrive as Discord DMs and phone push notifications.

Do you hire people, or apply for me?

No. DropJobs is an alert service, not an employer or a staffing agency. Every alert links to the employer's own application page, and you apply there yourself. Hiring decisions are always the employer's.

Are you affiliated with Amazon, FedEx or any other employer?

No. DropJobs is independent. Company names are used only to say which employer a job is from.

Where do the jobs come from?

From the employers' public hiring pages. Nothing on DropJobs is made up: the counts on the Live Stats and Warehouses pages come from the same data the alerts use, and when we don't have enough history for an area we say so instead of showing a number.

Alerts and speed

How do I set up alerts?

Sign in with Discord or email, enter your ZIP code and how far you're willing to travel, and turn alerts on in My Settings. Then enable phone push if you want alerts on your lock screen. It takes about a minute. The Getting started guide walks through it step by step.

How fast do alerts arrive on each plan?

Every plan watches the same warehouses. The difference is how long we wait before sending you an alert:

  • Spark (free): about 5 min
  • Flash: about 3 min
  • Bolt: about 1 min
  • Storm: Instant

Those are delays we add on purpose, so real-world arrival also depends on Discord, your phone and your network.

Will a paid plan get me the job?

No, and we won't promise that. A faster plan means you hear about an opening sooner, which gives you a better chance of reaching it while it's still open. Whether you get the job depends on the employer. Some areas are simply quiet, and a faster plan can't create openings that don't exist.

Why was the job already gone when I clicked?

Popular openings can fill in a few minutes, and several people may have been alerted at once. The Live Stats page shows how quickly jobs have been filling recently. Moving to a faster plan, widening your distance, or watching more locations (on plans that allow it) are the main ways to improve your odds.

Why am I not getting alerts?

Work through this list:

  1. Alerts are on. Check that the switch in My Settings is on and that you haven't paused everything.
  2. Your ZIP and distance. If nothing is hiring within your distance, there is nothing to send. Try a larger distance.
  3. Your minimum pay. A high minimum can hide most openings.
  4. Discord DMs. In Discord, allow direct messages from server members for the server the bot is in. If DMs fail repeatedly, we stop trying until you fix it.
  5. Phone push. Allow notifications for this site in your browser and phone settings, and re-enable push in My Settings.
  6. Daily limit. Each plan has a daily alert cap: 20 on Spark, 50 on Flash, 125 on Bolt and 200 on Storm.

Plans and billing

What does each plan include?
  • Spark (free, $0): about 5 min delay, 20 alerts a day, 1 location.
  • Flash ($3.99/week): about 3 min delay, 50 alerts a day, 1 location, filters and repeat reminders.
  • Bolt ($6.99/week): about 1 min delay, 125 alerts a day, 3 locations, filters and repeat reminders.
  • Storm ($9.99/week): instant alerts, 200 alerts a day, 5 locations, filters and repeat reminders.

Longer terms (monthly, 3-month, yearly) cost less per week. Full details are on the Plans page.

Is there a free trial?

When a trial is on offer, it gives you 7 days of Flash. You'll see it on the Plans page or in the Discord bot. Each account can use a trial once.

How do I pay, and how do I cancel?

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. To cancel, open My Settings and choose Manage billing. You keep your plan's speed until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account returns to Spark. Spark stays free.

Can I get a refund?

[set REFUND_POLICY in .env]

If you were charged by mistake, contact Support and include the email on your account.

How do referrals work?

Your personal link is in My Settings. When a friend joins through it and buys a plan, you receive free plan time, and the reward grows as you refer more people. Referral rewards can be removed if they were earned through abuse.

Privacy and account

What do you do with my data?

We keep what's needed to send your alerts and run your plan, and we don't sell it. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what we store and why.

How do I delete my account?

Email [set SUPPORT_EMAIL in .env] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. To stop alerts right away without deleting anything, use Pause all alerts in My Settings.

What is the referral code in the site banner?

It's a code the DropJobs operator uses with the employer's own referral program. Entering it on an application is optional, and your alerts are exactly the same whether you do or not. [owner: confirm this wording matches how the code works for you]

What is the Chrome helper, and what are the risks?

The optional DropJobs Helper extension can open an alert's job page for you the moment it arrives. It also has features that refresh or click through an employer's site automatically; those are off by default. Automated clicking or frequent refreshing may be against an employer's website terms and could affect your account there. Only use it on your own account and only if you're comfortable with that risk.
